Meet your driver and owner of Eastwind Stables Horse Transport - Tanya Balmes. Being an EC Certified English Coach, I understand the importance of providing quality service and ensuring the horses are provided with the best possible hauling experience. Being in the horse industry for almost 25 years, I appreciate each owners individual needs and expectations. The name Eastwind Stables was my facility I operated for over 10 years. The transport became a part of Eastwind Stables in 2008. In 2011, the facility was sold but I kept the Eastwind name and continued with the transport and free lance coaching. I am more then happy to help people with anything I can - this includes finding another transporter if I am unavailable. Please review some of my references below. "Tanya is amazing! All of my previous experiences with horse haulers were the same - my big TB doesn't load well, so by the time he is in - it's slam the door and get moving. He gets stressed and is always a mess upon unloading. Tanya's approach was different - calm and patient - and within 10 minutes, he had quietly loaded into her trailer, and remained calm while we loaded some hay. Amazing! Upon arrival he unloaded like an old pro - and hadn't even broken a sweat! He's never had an experience like this before - which is why I'll never use anyone else to haul my boys. "I had my gelding out for training and I was unsatisfied with how that was going and I called all over to find someone to haul him home. Finally I got ahold of Tanya and she was great. She went to pick him up, made sure he was fine and let me know right away. She took the horse back to Eastwind Stables until her next trip to Quesnel. She sent me photos to show me that he was safe and put my mind at ease. He was then hauled back home to Quesnel and was in good shape when he got here. Tanya is very experienced and I felt so comfortable knowing my horse was safe. I will now contact Tanya for all my hauling. "The truth of the matter is that we only trust Tanya and no one else. When we had to move our horses across Western Canada, we talked to alot of haulers but found them lacking knowledge of horses. Luckily, we stumbled across Tanya's number and didn't look back. She answered all of our questions and was very patient. She was able to move our horses at a difficult time of year over a long distance, have them arrive at our property safely, in good condition and and unstressed. She organized our haul and accommodations for the horses quickly and when she was thrown curve balls en route, she able to adapt to new circumstances. 2 of our horses are difficult to handle but Tanya and her daughter, Alyssa, handled them beautifully. Having had a bad haul experience, its a relief to know that we can trust Tanya to put our horses first, before her own needs. If you love your horse then choose Tanya as your hauler.
